How much Design can $5,000 get you?

Designing your wedding is hands down the best part in the planning process. Okay, maybe I’m a little biased but it’s so true!

We get tons of requests from brides wanting design services with all the bells and whistles; they are really shocked at the sticker price. Styling an event with can easily cost $5,000 on the low end and $25,000+ on the high end, most designer’s fees range from $2,500 to $9,000+ so you know design costs.

I always suggest that brides on a restricted budget opt for Candle décor, beautiful elegance at an affordable price. Candle Décor can also cut down on how many florals you’ll need, cutting costs and still creating a beautiful event.

Here’s what you can get on a $5,000 Design budget

Rentals: Depending on your needs, and what your venue has to offer….the amount of rentals needed, will be reduced. Most Reception venues carry tables and chairs but if you’re wanting Chavari chairs they can run you anywhere from $650-$700 for 150  chairs. Other rentals could include lounge furniture, up lighting, props etc. Expect to spend at least $1,500 on rentals.

Linen: Specialty Linen can cost around $24-$30 per linen. Projected expense for 15 tables plus cake table, gift table etc. expect to spend around $500 on Linen

Flowers: Flowers go hand and hand with design so this can be included in your design budget.  Based on 15 tables and the flower choices $1,500 should cover your flowers.

Designer: Storybook, Design Concept, 2 meetings, unlimited emails, Set-up/Teardown, assistants $1,500 {based on 318 Designs styling fee for 15 hours of service}
